Verizon has been announced as the exclusive 5G partner of the most-followed esports organisation, Faze Clan. We decided to look at each telecommunications brand’s first entry into esports through a formal partnership or sponsorship with a team or event.
We found that all of the brands that got involved earlier on (pre-2018) are still active in the industry either through forming new partnerships or strengthening existing ones.
Interestingly, out of these 29 unique brands, only 6 chose an event sponsorship as their entry point, while the remaining 23 chose to partner with teams.
As a brand, you are able to search through what existing partnerships your competitors have within gaming and esports according. This is done by going to search and filtering partnerships according to your industry category or a specific competitor of your choice.
